lent break

After 5,500 or so words and a lengthy presentation, the lent break finally came around two weeks ago and I have spent my time ever since in a slow, languid state of mind. My days have been spent going for walks around town, eyeing goodies in the shops, reading copious amounts of novels, outlining my university coursework (7,000 words total), and introducing my family to this beautiful town I live in. Here are some tips on how to best occupy yourself this Easter:

  • Eat large quantities of easter eggs and chocolate in general (t'is the season, after all).
  • Cook something slightly more time-consuming than simply spaghetti. This, for example.
  • Sell your unwanted items on eBay; use your earned money on new goodies, such as the gorgeously matte lip cream CreamPuff from Collection. I picked up the colour called Fairy Cake and it really feels ridiculously velvety and light.
  • Read something new! I've been reading Graeme Simsion's The Rosie Effect, which I enjoyed thoroughly. A review will be up within the next few days.
  • Explore the town you live in. Pretend you're a tourist for the day or simply go somewhere you've been before and try to look at it with new eyes or do something new there. Nature-based locations are always a winner.

Wishing you all a lovely Good Friday and Easter!
